8 of the World’s Healthiest Spices & Herbs You Should Be Eating

shine.yahoo.com/vitality/8-world-8217-healthiest-spices-38-herbs-eating-150600515.html

Ah yes another article about what we "should" be doing.  Naturally the rebellious side of me digs his heels and says...well I won't reprint that here but its not polite conversation.

Then again the thumb my nose attitude hasn't necessarily paid high dividends throughout my life so what’s the harm in listening to another point of view?  Nothing as near as I can tell

Everyone is allowed to have an opinion and as we know they are like...ummmmmm...noses we all have one ;)

Now that’s not to say that I must take what someone else says as gospel and run with it, there is nothing saying I even have to do anything with it all all really. I have just learned its important to keep an open mind and at least listen and after that I can make up my own mind.

I am often fond of saying take what you want and leave the rest and I do firmly believe in that, however the down side is if I am feeling particularly lazy or I don't want to do something I might be incline to leave a little bit more than I probably should *chuckles*  That’s life and how we learn, well its how I learn anyways I cannot speak for the rest of you.

Now that I have gotten the self-important talk out of the way onto the article.

Again I usually take "you must" or "you should" with a grain of salt but what the heck I haven't posted in a long time, yes I know some of you probably thought I fell off the face of the earth, I imagine some of you wished I had (sorry to disappoint you) :D  But I am back to entertain and amuse, cause havoc and start dialogue

The meat of this article is very interesting, it makes me wonder how much of this stuff really works and how I can find out.  The answer is very simple DO IT, that’s it just do it.  Now the trick is consistency, at least for me.

Let’s say for instance that Ginger fights headaches * yes I know the article doesn't say that this is an example so get off my back :P *

Now if I try ginger once and nothing happens, knowing me like I do I probably won't ever use ginger again for said remedy.  I do that with a lot of things in life, if a new exercise program doesn't make me drop weight after 20 minutes of using it then the hell with this it doesn't work *chuckles*  I suspect there are a few of my fellow sparkers out there who subscribe to this train of thought even if they do not realize it.

I guess if medication has taught me anything, especially with depression meds it’s that you have to keep using stuff even if you see no results in order for it to get built up and start doing its thing.

I am type 2 diabetic, it says cinnamon helps to fight and stabilize blood sugar, the only way I am going to know is if i try it and use it and not try it once and give up on it.  Some people say it works other say it doesnt.  I am going to have to decide for myself, however in order to make an informed decision I really need to give it a good go and use it for a while as well as track and keep notes otherwise how will I know if there are any results?

Anyways enjoy.  If you see something that peeks your curiosity by all means give it a shot! and let me know how it turns out
